"Universal 3D Sensing Devices
Design: The universal 3D sensing device is clamped in the milling spindle or in the countersunk head and allows exact alignment of the spindle axis to the edge of the workpiece or the device. Thereby enabling quick and easy setting of zero points of workpieces and effectively carrying out length measurements. The sensing direction can be defined by the user (X, Y, Z axis). The dial gauge deflects in the same direction and indicates the distance between spindle axis and workpiece edge. If the needle is at zero, the spindle axis is placed directly at the workpiece edge. At first go, no calculation, no problems with algebraic signs. Low additional costs, higher productivity and more convenience for the operator.
The new generation of sensing devices is more compact, easier to use and lower priced. The sensing insert can now be changed without any tools. It goes without saying that the new sensing inserts fit in the older universal 3D sensing devices. Safety is increased by a prolonged travel connected with the proven rated break point in the sensing insert. A steep taper holder is integrated for easy handling. Steep taper (DIN 69871, SK 40) and universal 3D sensing device form an entity. In order to ensure highest measuring accuracy, all universal 3D sensing devices are measured and adjusted individually during assembly. Short sensing insert Ø 4 mm is included in the supply.
Application: The universal 3D sensing device is extremely precise and is used in a variety of measuring applications for milling and erosion machines (insulated sensing insert).
